Luang Por therefore invites you to light a lamp or a candle in front of your house on a Buddhist holy day to let everyone know that &#8220;Today is a holy day&#8221; to serve as a reminder to those who passed by. People will remember that &#8220;Today is a holy day&#8221; should only do things that are virtuous. And every time we go to the temple, don&#8217;t forget to invite our children too. Prepare sweet and savory dishes to offer to monks and novices and to feed those who practice Dharma at the temple. Let&#8217;s help clean the temple, sweep the floors, or do whatever that earns us merits.\u00a0 It could be collecting garbage or keeping temple goers\u2019 shoes organized.\u00a0 We must pay respect to the temple we visit since it is the enshrined place of the Triple Gem. We must pay respect to the monks. Whether offering the food to monks or listening to the Dharma talk, we perform them in a respectful way. We bring only good things into the temple, and keep out bad things such as liquor, cigarettes, drugs, and pornography. We remove all these bad things from the temple. This is what our grandparents have practiced as a norm in the past. But nowadays we ignore that norm. We must be calm and composed and explain to them that it is neither old fashioned nor ignorant, but it is indeed a Buddhist tradition. As Buddhists, we must practice this way. On the outside of those people, we may see teasing. But, on the inside, there could be an admiration and inspiration to want to study the Dharma of the Lord Buddha. Subsequently, auspiciousness and wealth will follow to our house. So clean the prayer room first and then clean other rooms in the house and area around the house. Moreover, Luang Pu himself acted as a role model. Regardless of whether the meditation practitioner was a child, an adult, a woman, a man, he would walk gently past them when they were meditating. Some people are deep in meditation and are about to achieve inner peace. If we walk past them, the noise from us will shake their concentration. It will cause them to miss a good opportunity in inner peace. We ourselves will have sin. This sin will obstruct in reaching inner peace in every life we are born to. When we meditate and are about to achieve inner happiness, there will be some obstacle that forces us to lose concentration and causes us to give up perseverance. The Lord Buddha was a good role model for this matter. One day during Lord Buddha\u2019s time, novice Bandit was practicing Dharma and was close to the attainment of Arahatship. Meanwhile, Phra Sariputra is about to bring food for the novice. Fried carp with rice. He was worried that the novice might not have anything to eat. The Lord Buddha knew this from his power and also that on that day, the novice would attain nirvana. But if Phra Sariputra had arrived first, he would have called the novice or made a noise. The action would affect the practice of the novice and cause the novice to miss the opportunity to become an Arahant. Lord Buddha himself had to go and waited for Phra Sariputta at the door. He then invited Phra Sariputta to talk about Dharma and made conversation long enough that the novice attained Arahantship. Lord Buddha then opened the way for Phra Sariputra to see the novice. To disturb those who practice Dharma is not a small matter at all. The sin will hinder the meditation practice and the ears of the sinners would not work well for at least 500 lives.<\/p>\n<p>January 13, 2002<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><strong>\u542c\u95fb\u4f5b\u6cd5\u6216\u9759\u5750\u7985\u4fee\u65f6\u5173\u95ed\u624b\u673a<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u542c\u95fb\u4f5b\u6cd5\u6216\u9759\u5750\u7985\u4fee\u65f6\uff0c\u662f\u653e\u4e0b\u6240\u6709\u62c5\u5fe7\u7684\u65f6\u523b\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\u5728\u6bcf\u4e2a\u661f\u671f\u5929\uff0c\u8981\u8bf7\u5927\u5bb6\u9075\u7167\u53f8\u4eea\u7684\u6307\u793a\uff0c\u5728\u9759\u5750\u6216\u95fb\u6cd5\u65f6\uff0c\u6682\u65f6\u5173\u95ed\u901a\u8baf\u8bbe\u5907\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u624b\u673a\u6216\u5176\u4ed6\u7535\u5b50\u8bbe\u5907\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u5728\u5317\u6984\u5bfa\u7956\u5e08\u7684\u65f6\u4ee3\uff0c\u7956\u5e08\u6559\u5bfc\u9759\u5750\u65f6\u4e5f\u5e38\u5e38\u63d0\u9192\u4f17\u4eba\u3002\u7956\u5e08\u4e5f\u4eb2\u81ea\u4f5c\u4e3a\u699c\u6837\uff0c\u5f53\u89c1\u5230\u6709\u4eba\u5728\u9759\u5750\u65f6\uff0c\u65e0\u8bba\u9759\u5750\u8005\u662f\u5c0f\u5b69\u6216\u5927\u4eba\u3001\u7537\u4eba\u6216\u5973\u4eba\uff0c\u7956\u5e08\u90fd\u5c06\u8f7b\u8f7b\u5730\u8d70\u8fc7\u53bb\u3002\u7956\u5e08\u8fd9\u4e48\u505a\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u662f\uff1a\u6709\u4e9b\u4eba\u9759\u5750\u5f97\u5f88\u5b81\u9759\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u5c31\u5feb\u8981\u8bc1\u609f\u4e86\uff0c\u82e5\u8d70\u8def\u53d1\u51fa\u58f0\u54cd\u53ef\u80fd\u4f1a\u52a8\u6447\u4ed6\u7684\u5fc3\u5ff5\uff0c\u4f7f\u4ed6\u9519\u8fc7\u8bc1\u609f\u7684\u673a\u4f1a\uff0c\u8ba9\u81ea\u5df1\u5f97\u5230\u6076\u4e1a\uff0c\u5728\u6765\u4e16\u9759\u5750\u7985\u4fee\u65f6\u5c06\u65f6\u5e38\u88ab\u6253\u6270\uff0c\u5f53\u9759\u5750\u5f97\u597d\u65f6\u4e5f\u4f1a\u6709\u969c\u788d\u6765\u4f7f\u4fee\u884c\u4e0d\u987a\u5229\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u5c31\u7b97\u662f\u4f5b\u9640\u4e5f\u4eb2\u81ea\u4f5c\u4e3a\u699c\u6837\u3002\u6709\u4e00\u5929\u5b66\u58eb\u6c99\u5f25\u6b63\u5728\u4fee\u884c\u4e14\u5373\u5c06\u8bc1\u5f97\u963f\u7f57\u6c49\u679c\uff0c\u800c\u6b64\u65f6\u820d\u5229\u5f17\u6b63\u62ff\u7740\u6258\u94b5\u6240\u5f97\u5230\u7684\u9c7c\u9999\u996d\u53bb\u7ed9\u6c99\u5f25\u5403\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u62c5\u5fc3\u8fd9\u4f4d\u6c99\u5f25\u6ca1\u6709\u5403\u996d\u3002\u4f5b\u9640\u4ee5\u4f5b\u667a\u4e86\u77e5\uff0c\u4eca\u5929\u5b66\u58eb\u6c99\u5f25\u5373\u5c06\u8bc1\u609f\u6d85\u69c3\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u82e5\u820d\u5229\u5f17\u5728\u6c99\u5f25\u8bc1\u609f\u4e4b\u524d\u62b5\u8fbe\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u4f1a\u53eb\u5524\u6c99\u5f25\u6216\u53d1\u51fa\u58f0\u54cd\uff0c\u5c06\u4e2d\u65ad\u5b66\u58eb\u6c99\u5f25\u7684\u4fee\u884c\uff0c\u4f7f\u5176\u9519\u8fc7\u8bc1\u5f97\u963f\u7f57\u6c49\u679c\u7684\u673a\u4f1a\u3002\u4f5b\u9640\u5c31\u4eb2\u81ea\u5728\u95e8\u5916\u7b49\u5f85\u820d\u5229\u5f17\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u4e0e\u820d\u5229\u5f17\u8c08\u8bba\u4f5b\u6cd5\u3001\u95ee\u4e1c\u95ee\u897f\u76f4\u5230\u786e\u5b9a\u5b66\u58eb\u6c99\u5f25\u5df2\u7ecf\u8bc1\u5f97\u4e86\u963f\u7f57\u6c49\u679c\uff0c\u624d\u8ba9\u820d\u5229\u5f17\u8fdb\u95e8\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7531\u6b64\u53ef\u77e5\uff0c\u53d1\u51fa\u58f0\u54cd\u5f71\u54cd\u4ed6\u4eba\u9759\u5750\u7985\u4fee\u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u4ef6\u5c0f\u4e8b\uff0c\u4e4b\u540e\u4f1a\u6210\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u4fee\u884c\u65f6\u7684\u969c\u788d\uff0c\u542c\u89c9\u5668\u5b98\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u8033\u6735\u4e5f\u5c06\u4e0d\u6b63\u5e38\uff0c\u81f3\u5c11\u4e94\u767e\u4e16\u3002<\/p>\n<p>2002\u5e741\u670813\u65e5<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol Her mind was cheerful and she wanted to meditate every day. She asked Luang Por how we avoid being careless in life? Because when one is not careless in his life, he will be diligent to meditate. Luang Por replied that one must contemplate death. Remember that even fully enlightened Lord Buddhas, individually enlightened Lord Buddhas, the most distinguished disciples of Lord Buddha, the great disciples, and noble individuals all have to die. Those who have reached the Triple Gem or those who have reached the state of perfect equanimity and awareness also will die. The Great Emperor who rules the four celestial continents and who has great power and owns the Seven Jewels that can fly in the air also will die. Great kings, kings, billionaires, millionaires, the rich, the poor all die. We must think like that. To think that way is to contemplate death. The female disciple said that it was too long. Can she have a short version? Let us put it this way. There are 2 words. Easy to remember. Have you ever seen an ambulance carrying a sick person passing by? The ambulance will turn on a loud siren on the road. Listen carefully. It sounds like this. \u201cTai nay\u201d or \u201cDie for sure\u201d. This is the shortest version to contemplate death. Learn to recite it.
